The Church Triumphant began as a word in the heart of Bishop Adrian D.  Ware.   In June of 1977, Bishop Ware was attending a summer revival meeting when he went to the altar to receive the Lord Jesus Christ.   Immediately after having received salvation, Bishop Ware heard the call of God to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ with such a reality that it shook his very being.

The experience he had on that night in 1977 created a hunger in him that would intensify more and more over the years.  He began to build a daily relationship with the Holy Spirit that has now spanned over thirty (30) years.  

Bishop Ware became a student of the Word.   Largely, his Biblical education came as a result of sitting under the tutelage of a few chosen mentors.   In addition to that, he trained for the Kingdom by serving in various capacities in ministry and for the general Body of Christ.

On December 9, 1995, Bishop Ware married the lady of his dreams, Tonya.   Tonya's primary gift was in the area of music.   The ministry of the Word and the ministry of worship merged in this marriage.   They became a power team for the Kingdom of God.

On Sunday, June 1, 1997, twenty (20) years after Bishop Ware's original call, The Church Triumphant opened its doors at the then Harvey Hotel, now operating as the Clarion Hotel & Suites on Interstate 55 North in Jackson, Mississippi.   Seven (7) people were in attendance.

While at the hotel, The Church Triumphant purchased a twenty-nine (29) acre prime piece of property just along side Interstate 220 North in North Jackson.   This land acquisition was an awesome investment in the Church's future.   The Vision was clear that the ministry would be afforded one of the most convenient, highly visible properties in the metropolitan Jackson, Mississippi area.

On August 22, 2004, The Church Triumphant moved into its first dedicated edifice at the Odyssey North Shopping Center located at 731 South Pear Orchard Road, Suite 43 in Ridgeland, Mississippi.  At this current location, massive growth, ministry development, and excitement has continued.

The Church Triumphant multiplies in membership weekly and expects a bright and prosperous future as it moves forward.
